broken wings

there are these storms that we go through
that break us down deep into the
inner core
of our souls.
we feel that we can not breathe and that
peace is far from our reach.
but some how we manage to pick up
the pieces of our broken spirit and mend
them together slowly, piece by piece.
our wings may never be the same as they were
before all the storms have passed us by,
but through it we still manage to fly.

life's course takes us on these journeys that make us feel and be at times something and somewhere we do not wish. but through it all we seem to come out and be okay. its not until we have passed through and see the other side before we can even attempt to have a positive glimpse of an outlook. and sometimes with the positive there still might be a negative that is hard as hell to get rid off and maybe never will. i feel that with my mended wings i can still fly, but the pain that i have gone through is something that i never thought that i would ever go through, therefore i will always fly a little crooked.... a cute ending to a very deep thought....

Michelle, you are a ture art spirit. You will always see the world with more clarity than most. You will always feel a bit deeper. It is the calling of your “God Gift.” So, while it is a gift, it is a curse as well. You are the rare bird that is here to express through your art, the dwellings of others, as well as your own…about our comings and our goings, about our births, our deaths and that life space in between.
So, its not an easy life, that of a “true” artist, the world has a hard time holding on to the flights of our kind. With one foot hear an one somewhere in the heavens. So, while here in this brief moment, you find a responsibility to take life’s most tempest storms and through your art, become a shelter for the rest of us. Through your endearing designs, give those cold and tired places of the heart a graceful, but strong, ray of hope and encouragement.
We are sad, when you are saddened…for you are the leader of the heart. You will forge out of your despairing heart, an art to speak to us all, given a voice to that which could not be heard, perhaps, sight to that which could not be seen. You have demonstrated many times before.
Thank you for your gift to a forever troubled world.
